Ramiro Gomez Barinaga

Ramiro is responsible for the design of the contractual, financial, and credit enhancement mechanisms of RELP and supports the Board on international legal aspects. He currently leads the project to design and set up the International Trust Fund for Renewable Energy Guarantees (iTrust). He is a lawyer from Universidad Nacional del Litoral. Ramiro holds a Master in Tax Law from Universidad Nacional del Litoral – Argentina - and a Master in Finance and Law from Universidad del CEMA. He is a Founding Partner of GB Abogados, focused on Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate Law, Investment Structures - Project Finance and Renewable Energy. He acted as Legal Advisor to the Argentinian Government for Renewable Energy, with a special role in the design of the regulatory framework and the PPAs and guaranties granted to projects under the RenovAr Program. He is a lecturer at Universidad de Ciencias Empresariales y Sociales (UCES) Corporate Law and Project Finance, since 2002; a lecturer at Universidad Tecnológica Nacional in Regulatory Framework for Renewable Energies for the MSc. and in Renewable Energies; and a lecturer at Universidad de Buenos Aires, Mergers & Acquisitions for the Master Degree in Commercial Law.
